Oh yeah, I've often said that I am a career rarepair shipper. I do ship bigger ships too, but a lot of the time I just kind of get distracted from The Main Ship Fandom Likes, even when I like it too, and start focusing on two minor characters in the background who are, Idk, maybe standing next to each other in the frame. And it's not that I don't like the bigger ship, but I often sort of feel like that other people have that covered or something, so I should really go back to the important and currently neglected work of thinking about character #1, who has two lines an episode, and character #2, who has never met them in canon, kissing, because they Need me more than the big ship does.

What you said about making things make sense is often a part of it for me too, because it's a fun mental exercise for my brain to gnaw on. If a ship is too easy to figure out then I get bored or something, I guess, because I'm like a collie who needs to be out herding sheep for 9 hours a day or I destroy all the furniture.

Thank you! I really do like organisation and formatting things nicely and making spreadsheets, haha. If only I could harness some of this in wrangling some semblance of order out of the chaos that is real life, haha. But in terms of literal real life mess and clutter, I think I'd be a lot more tidy if various circumstances were a little more ideal, so I'll magnanimously cut myself some slack ;)

I love BBC Ghosts! I never got super fandomy about it, possibly because I like it Just The Way It Is and didn't feel the need to fill in any gaps with fandom, but I love it to bits as a more solo activity. I got into CBS Ghosts after finishing S5 of BBC Ghosts (still need to see the final Christmas special though!) because a) I was completely bereft and b)

spoilers for Ghosts CBSsomeone I showed this great Fanny/Julian fanvid, which I'd found when I was helping out with checking the eligibility of this years [community profile] festivids nominations, casually mentioned that the characters who are based loosely on Fanny and Julian in the CBS show get together canonically, which was highly motivating. At first I was a bit disappointed that Trevor is younger and less despicable than Julian, because I have a huge weakness for terrible middle aged fictional men, but he very quickly won me over, haha. Not least because I got a new ship with an age difference out of it!
