Weird question, but do any of you know of any music practice accountability Discord servers? Or other kinds of accountability servers that you could use to encourage you to practice your instrument? Or if there's a Dreamwidth community along those lines that would also be great. I've found a couple of things by Googling, but from what I can tell they don't seem to be active currently.

I currently have a practice spreadsheet that is shared with my teacher and I still have a hard time getting around to putting the time in.

Alternately, would anyone be interested in a music specific accountability Dreamwidth comm and/or Discord server?

Could you do this with the Daylio app? It sends you a message a couple of times a day asks how your day is going, and you give it a smiley face or a sad face. Then you fill out various existing categories like "Did you eat healthy? Did you sleep well?" I bet you could add music in the hobbies category.

I could, but I guess I'm looking for real people to be accountable to who are working towards similar goals more than I am an app, along the lines of various writing check in communities that are out there. Thank you for the suggestion though!

God, I would definitely be interested in that, though I've never heard of one. I'm sure it must exist! I try to play every night for at least an hour but lately I've been really slacking

I mean, so far it would just be us, but would you like to join a server if I set one up? My basic idea was to have a thread each week in a general channel where people set goals for the week and then checked them off as they were done with checkmark emojis. Plus a channel where people could talk about how things were going, what they wanted to improve on, etc. It could get more complex (or simpler) as needed depending on what people wanted.
