I had my cello lesson today and my teacher was very enthusiastic about my Google Sheets practice log. She asked me to add her to it so that she could see what kind of things I've been focusing on before my lessons and have some time in advance to think about what we can do in the lesson itself. She can also add things in my notes colums for me to be aware of and work on as they come up during the lesson.

I had originally planned on asking her if she wanted me to add her, because I thought the accountibility would be good, but I didn't because I didn't want her to feel obliged, so it's great that she does want to have access to it.

I haven't practiced as much this week as I would have liked, but I did log three days of cello with an average of about 30 minute a session, so it wasn't nothing and it's useful to have my notes to look back on from those days. And now that I have a baseline I can work on upping things a bit. Next week I would love to have five more days on my spreadsheet.

I like that she wanted access as it sounds like she's invested in your progress in a real way.

She's really lovely and really generous with her time and energy. Like she says every week to text her if I need help with anything that comes up in my practice.
